MORAY-MARAS-SALINERAS
salty – terrasses – markets – tour
moray. a beautiful maze or a garden beyond belief. these inca ruins, one of the biggest terrasses miraculously, were built into lime stone in a way water would be contained and work just like a irrigation system. the around 30m deep entity of terrasses are said to have a temperature difference of 1°C each, therefore 15°C between top and bottom. nobody knows, but what an idea to plant various plants on almost the exact same spot.
salt mines in salty salineras. the sacret valley of the incas, where salt, the white gold is still being harvested – has been for thousands of years. the compelling view only makes you guess how salty the clear water running down into the ponds tastes. almost stumbling and stepping onto the white gold i try to close my mouth full of amazement.
markets. as usual. colorful. astonishing. besides all the wonderful things you can buy, looking closer you see colors of all kind.
