RDTRP

as we’ve had quite an exciting time roadtripping from austria all the way to portugal, i felt the need to share, after digesting all things happening in such a short period of time. it all started out on a sunny friday. better said: HOT and HUMID friday, in a wonderful VW bus with two happy people, ready to get on the road. the pictures might only show half of the anticipation!

first stop: okay, grocery shopping, getting gas, but we decided for our REAL first stop to be the ‚TAGLIAMENTO RIVER‘, as we’ve passed a few times before, and always wanted to stop and take a dip in the water. so after only 2 hours into our trip, we did. . . .

. . . and came back to an emptied bus. someone thought it might be a good idea to take all our stuff, as travelling shouldn’t be too easy, right? at least we had our phones, wallets and all the groceries – they didn’t care much about the cool box. anyway, it may stay the first and only time you’ll see us swim in that area!

anyway, after some discussion and thinking whether to go on, we (timo had the stronger mindset) decided to. and i’m glad he talked me into trying to get on the ferry WITHOUT our passports and anything else. on day 2, right before entering the harbour, we received facebook messages of a police man saying they found our passports, bags and suitcase. well, that for sure made day two the best of the whole vacation! many things were gone, but we just decided to stop caring!

so we were able to get on the ferry, and the view very well paid off the last 1,5 days.

maybe even the unprepared sleeping on the floor between the uncomfortable seats in the, let’s call it ’sleeping hall‘. but who cares, when after all being able to go on vacation?

so, let me tell you – spain is a good place to go to with a camping bus or and old lovely VW bus, like we did. you can stay wherever you may park, if it doesn’t say otherwise. so we didn’t really bother spending money on camping areas, when instead we could spend the night at the beach, waking up with such a beautiful view.

not gonna say much more, as I already did say quite a lot: enjoy some pictures from beaches and places we’ve been to between barcelona and faro (i promise i tried to remember all the names of the places. i tend to forget after a while..)

(i got no pictures of playa de los muertos. i should have – it’s W O N D E R F U L!)
