VIE-MOSK-BKK

getting there and settling in – that’s what i did!

After a teary goodbye and a one-stop flight over moscow, i finally arrived in the humid city of bangkok. i guess summer is going to continue here just as it finishes in austria!

i really don’t remember so often visiting a country with a language i don’t understand a word of. definitely made me panic for a little during my first days, wandering around the city – especially for someone not being good at orientate myself in new environments very quickly.

but here i am, independently going places (okay, the phone i got pretty much on day 4 might have helped me get around) – and i’m starting to love bangkok!

only two nights in i started work, so this past weekend I took my chance to explore a little. before that i really haven’t experienced much more than the motorbike taxi to the BTS station, riding on public transportation, remembering where to get off, my way to work and back (and still overwhelmed me, so that definitely was enough to start with).

so saturday i dared to expose myself to the temples of bangkok. and this is what i got – take a look:
